Well served by road, Savannah International Airport (SAV) is close to the major I-95 interstate (Tom Coleman Highway / Purple Heart Trail), which runs right past the airport grounds (north to south). Also nearby is the east to west I-16 interstate (James L. Gillis Memorial Highway), located just to the south of the airport.

To the east of Savannah Airport, the US-21 highway (Augusta Road / Tom Trimplett Parkway) runs in a north-south direction and links to the I-516 interstate (Ocean Highway). Off the US-21, Gulfstream Road leads to McKenna Drive and ultimately the Airways Avenue, which heads into the grounds.

Located on the northwestern outskirts of Savannah, the airport is especially close to the Georgia Institute of Technology, which is sited to the north, off the Jimmy Deloach Parkway.

Head south along the I-95 interstate
Take Exit 104 onto Airways Avenue (east) direct to the airport

Directions to Savannah International Airport (SAV) from the south:

Head north on the I-95 interstate
Take Exit 104 onto Airways Avenue for the terminal

Directions to Savannah International Airport (SAV) from the east:

Approaching from the east and downtown Savannah, head west on the I-16 interstate
A few miles from downtown Savannah, take Exit 157B north onto the I-95
Continue north along the I-95 and take Exit 104 for the airport (east)

Take the I-16 interstate east
Exit north onto the I-95 at Exit 157B
Continue north along the I-95 and exit onto Airways Avenue at Exit 104 for the airport

Interstates I-95 and I-16 are the main routes into Savannah from the north, south and the west and they may become busy during morning and evening rush hours, particularly the I-16 interstate. We therefore recommend that leave plenty of time for your journey to the terminal.
